Pollinator Habitat Certification

UMass Extension's Pollinator Habitat Certification is designed to acknowledge spaces in Massachusetts that are thoughtfully provisioned and managed for native pollinators.

Requirements for certification include:

  • Food (floral resources)
  • Shelter (nesting substrates)
  • Refuge from pesticides
  • Management commitments
  • Located in Massachusetts

Included with certification:

  • Reviewal by UMass Extension Pollinator Specialist
  • Personalized digital certificate
  • Option to purchase an official sign

Purchasing Information:

  • Complete purchase first then submit application.
  • Once payment has been completed, please submit your application via Google Forms or email Harmonie O’Loughlin (harmonieolou@umass.edu) to request a mail-in option.

Certification Information:

  • Please allow 6 weeks for review
  • A digital certificate will be issued upon approval
  • An optional sign can be purchased to display in the habitat
