The Mount Ida Campus encourages our students to take the MBTA public transportation system to their internships. To further this effort, the Mount Ida Campus offers unlimited MBTA ”T” passes for the duration of a semester (Feb-May) at a subsidized rate depending on the student’s internship status:

If you are a UMass Mount Ida Student with an internship accessible via the “T” we offer the pass at a 100% discount - $0***
If you live or take classes on the Mount Ida Campus, we offer the pass at a 50% discount - $160**
UMass Amherst students who are not affiliated with the Mount Ida Campus are able to purchase Semester passes at an 11% discount through this program -$320. (Priority will be given to Mount Ida Students and then on a first come/first serve basis for non-Mount Ida affiliated students.)

**Students must live on campus and/or take in-person classes on the Mount Ida Campus to qualify for the 50% discounted pass.

*** Students must live on campus and/or take in-person classes on the Mount Ida Campus and have an internship that is accessible by the MBTA “T” to qualify for the 100%.
